Most of the pilgrimage will be spent in the beautiful St. George's Guesthouse in East Jerusalem, only 10 minutes from the Damascus Gate entrance to the Old City.
This well-run episcopal establishment offers private rooms cloistered around an English garden. Accommodations are simple and the ambience is both evocative and comfortable. There's a small charming Jerusalem stone bar in the basement and the very British enclave seems like something from a chapter of 'The Jewel in the Crown.'
St. George's Guest House is a comfortable, safe and quiet facility with a distinctive old world feel that enhances the pilgrimage experience.
The Guesthouse has been welcoming guests since 1923.
St. George's Cathedral is adjacent to the guesthouse and offers morning and evening prayers. The food is middle eastern and excellent!
The accommodations are traditional, clean, modest, and comfortable with climate controlled rooms and good bathroom and shower facilities. The staff is top notch and are noted for good customer service.
