ST. GEORGE'S GUEST HOUSE
For most of your pilgrimage St. George’s Guest House will be your “home away from home.” Conveniently located in East Jerusalem—a leisurely 10-minute walk from the
Damascus Gate of the Old City—the well-run facility is owned and operated by the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, supporting its other ministries. The distinctive old
world feel of the Close belies the private traditional style guestrooms, updated with climate control and modern baths and showers.
Guests are also welcome to enjoy the English garden and other amenities of the Cathedral Close, such as morning and evening prayer.
Welcoming guests since 1923, one of the unique features of this facility is a charming Jerusalem stone bar on the lower level—the very British enclave seems like something from a chapter of “The Jewel in the Crown.” The in-house dining room offers a cornucopia of breakfast buffet options daily, as well as hearty dinners. Adjacent is a full bar with cozy seating, as well as private meeting rooms where guests can wander off to be alone, if desired. The top-notch staff is noted for their good customer service and they look forward to welcoming you.
